![]() Ideally it would work like this: Insert drive in Linux-based ultrasound, it pops up asking for the password. The goal here is that when in transit between the ultrasound and the PC, the USB drive is encrypted so if it is lost, patient data is not at risk. Also - again - our users do not have admin rights and are not technically inclined so it needs to be easy to use. Many laptops and desktops are used with many ultrasound machines over several sites, so installing the software on all the computers is not feasible it has to run from the USB stick. The user transfers the image to the USB drive in the ultrasound machine, and then takes the drive to a Windows 10 machine and copies it over. I need something where I encrypt the USB drive on the Windows machine, then insert it into the ultrasound machine and it is recognized so the image can be transferred. ![]() We use USB drives to transfer the image to Windows 10 PCs. Medical practice with Linux based ultrasound machines.
